A firm does not necessarily need to acquire every possible variation of its name.

However, strategically important domains may be worth securing defensively.

Depending on the brand, these could include:

Primary exact-match domain

Relevant .com and .vc versions

Common spelling variations

Full firm name

Abbreviated firm name

Domains previously used by the firm

Defensive domains can generally be redirected to the primary website.

The objective isn't to accumulate domains. It is to protect the reasonable paths people may use to find or communicate with the firm.
